My Story
Hi, I’m Pauline and I have always been interested in craft and remember learning to knit with my mum, a lifetime ago! My little business started a few years ago as a hobby, which then grew when my friends became my loyal customers. Inspired by where I live at Candleford Gate, Candleford Craft was created.
I love to explore unique colours and patterns and make hanging hearts, stunning ponchos, light jars and many more wonderful things too!
Everything I create is totally unique as no two handcrafted things are ever the same and that is the beauty of them! If there is something special you would like me to create, just for you, then please do get in touch.
Creative Corner
Unique, Hand-crafted items
I work from a lovely sunny corner (weather permitting!) of Candleford Gate. With beautiful views from my window I have the perfect environment to drift off into my creative world and produce my collection of unique, handcrafted items that you find in my online shop.
My Inspiration
I remember learning to knit with my Mum (a long time ago!!) and have had a passion for all things crafty ever since.
A colleague saw a clay leaf I had created for myself and asked me to make some for her as gift tags. She loved them! I then made trinket bowls and hearts too for other colleagues and my business started from there. The ponchos that I handknit were inspired by one I bought for myself from a craft market and realised that I could create something similar myself. They are always popular and the colours are beautiful. Each one has its own name too! One of our favourites is “Skyfall” - “As close to the clouds as you can be”.
My Creations
No two items of mine are ever the same, as they are handmade.
